Leyland, UK – 23 March 2026 – Genius Roof Solutions, founded by lifelong roofer and innovator Jimmy Hall and his wife Linda, has appointed Liz Cammack as Non-Executive Transitional Chair as the business prepares for its next stage of growth.
Jimmy’s life on the tools instilled a clear principle: the roof comes first. After identifying widespread poor practice in early rooftop Solar PV installations, he created SolarFlash® — a purpose-designed system engineered to waterproof solar mounting brackets while preserving the building fabric.
From its origins in traditional roofing, Genius has built a reputation for practical innovation. Products such as Hallclip® and Hallhook® are widely used across the UK roofing sector, while SolarFlash® and the award-winning SpeedFlash® have become trusted solutions for integrating solar on slate roofs without unnecessary disruption or risk.
The business remains proudly family-led and is now run by the couple’s daughters, continuing the family legacy while guiding the company into a new growth phase.
Cammack brings more than 15 years’ experience across construction and renewable sectors. Having co-founded Zenex Solar Ltd within a family business environment and later held senior leadership roles at Segen, she understands both the heritage and scaling journey of founder-led companies.
